टी20 वर्ल्ड कप (T20 WC 2022) से पहले पाकिस्तानी टीम (Pakistan Cricket Team) में मातम का माहोल छा गया है। दरसअल शुक्रवार यानी आज 30 सितंबर को पाकिस्तान के धाकड़ फर्स्ट क्लास क्रिकेटर शहजाद आजम राणा (Shahzad Azam Rana) का महज 36 साल की उम्र में इंतकाल का हो गया है।
बताया जा रहा है कि उन्हें अचानक कार्डियक अरेस्ट आया था, जिसकी वजह से उनका निधन हो गया। बता दें कि इस खिलाड़ी को पाकिस्तान की तरफ से अंतरराष्ट्रीय मैचों में खेलने का मौका नहीं मिला था। उन्होंने सिर्फ पाकिस्तान सुपर लीग में इस्लामाबाद की तरफ से मैच खेला है।
इस पाकिस्तानी क्रिकेटर का हुआ निधन
पाकिस्तान के फर्स्ट क्लास क्रिकेटर शहजाद आजम राणा (Shahzad Azam Rana) ने 95 प्रथम श्रेणी, 58 लिस्ट ए और 29 टी20 खेले हैं और इस दौरान उन्होंने फर्स्ट क्लास क्रिकेट में 388, लिस्ट ए में 81 और टी20 क्रिकेट में 27 विकेट चटकाए। इस खिलाड़ी ने अपने करियर में कुल 496 विकेट चटकाए थे। बता दें कि शहजाद ने 2018 के बाद से एक भी फर्स्ट क्लास मैच और लिस्ट ए मैच नहीं खेला था।
यह खिलाड़ी आखिरी बार क्रिकेट के मैदान पर साल 2020 के पाकिस्तान दौरे पर आए मेरिलबोन क्रिकेट क्लब के एक मैच के दौरान दिखा था। नॉर्दन (पाकिस्तान) बनाम मैरीलेबोन क्रिकेट क्लब के बीच खेले गए उस मैच में शहजाद आजम राणा 4 ओवर के कोटे में 30 रन खर्च कर एक विकेट लिया था। शहजाद के निधन पर फैंस ट्विटर पर अपनी संवेदना व्यक्त कर रहे हैं।
